Rescue

Shelters and rescues: Please contact us if you believe that a Coton de Tulear has come into your care, and we will do or best in assisting with both identification, reunification, or placement.  Our Canadian breed database can identify a Coton de Tulear and its breeder even if the microchip is unregistered. A Coton de Tulear can be physically identified from other similar breeds slightly convex spine shape. We will gladly accept the care of any believed Coton de Tulear who is homeless, assist in reconnection with the breeder, or offer courtesy posting. Please contact us for assistance in identification or resources. 

Our goal is for all breeders to be held accountable for the lifetime of the puppies which they produce.

Pet owners: It is our goal that through responsible breeding and conscientious sales practices, Coton de Tulear dogs will rarely be in need of rescue placement. In the event that a Coton does need rescue, the Western Coton de Tulear Club will act. If fosters, sponsors, or adopters are needed, this will be posted on our social media pages.
